My brain...oh how it makes me insane!

I went to the neurologist today. When I first met him, my first thought was "great...I've got a NERD for a doctor!!!" However, after I spent an hour with him, I realized why I was referred to him. He is so nice and thorough! So the 411 is that I need an MRI, which is scheduled for next Thursday. This test will tell us what's going on in my brain and neck. I'm a little nervous about the procedure because I'll be in the tube for 80 minutes (there are two tests). As far as I know, I have to hold REALLY still. I have a history of laughing when I'm supposed to hold really still or be really quiet...so it will be interesting to see how this all goes down. That's all for now. I'll let you guys know when I know more.

XOXO

The thought of you in a tube laughing your head off is funny to me...but I'm still sorry you even have to go through with that. Hope you get some answers. What are they thinking the problem is? Is this having to do with Lupus or something else? K, I'll be checking in next Thursday for the results! Good Luck keeping still.

Good luck on the MRI scan. I have had a few friends that had to have one and it went ok for them but I am not sure about the laughing prediciment because you do need to sit still. Good luck! Love you

hey, wow I did not know you were going in for an MRI. YOu will need to give details. WHat are they looking for?
I have had an MRI done. (not fun for me) Dad has had one done (i think or was it mom) anyway it did not bother them. It is really noisie!! if it is a closed MRI (thats the kind I had) I don't like those. I am a fan of the open MRI's. I hope you get one of those instead of a closed one. so next thurs. Keep us all posted!
lv you

Rach! I'm so bummed that you have to have this test done :( But to make it a brighter day... while you are in there here are some things you can think about:

1. That amazing scene from Pride and Prejudice where Mr. Darcy is walking through the fog to meet his wonderful Elizabeth Bennett! With this image in your head it is impossible to not to smile!

2. Go to the following link and view the video... it will definitely keep you smiling! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQOds0kCgOk

3. Imagine you are a world famous photographer and you just won a Pulitzer for one of your amazing photographs... and then Jon Bon Jovi shows up to present it to you and give you a major kiss.... errrr... well, I guess I went a little into my own fantasy there... so you can just imagine getting the Pulitzer and looking like your totally fabulous self in front of seas of people all cheering for you and your awesomeness!

I'll be praying for you.

xoxo
Steph.
